Chris + Ari, a Los Poblanos Engagement

Way before we were at Los Poblanos capturing these cuties’ engagement and even longer before Chris proposed to Ari under the Brooklyn Bridge in New York, these lovers first crossed paths in the late 90s.

When they initially met, Chris was 14, (and one of Ari’s older brother’s friends!) while Ari was 10, but that didn’t stop her from having a huge crush on him. They both went off to college in different states, Ari ended up in New York City after completing her degree and Chris traveled the world before living in Madrid and eventually San Francisco. They ran into each other over Thanksgiving break in D.C. after nearly 1o years of not seeing each other and Ari took a chance on a job relocation in San Francisco! Shortly after moving to the west coast, these babes started dating and have been together ever since!

Ari loves the way that Chris not only helps ground her in life, but the way that he makes her laugh (one of our favorite parts of their engagement shoot!) and how consistently thoughtful and sweet he is to her. And Chris admires how Ari has an amazing sense of self guidance and an incredible taste for adventure.

We adore how a sweet, innocent childhood crush turned into an amazing happy ending for two wonderful souls! We can’t wait to see the next chapter unfold for Chris and Ari this September at Los Poblanos!
